Ruby’s Story
Ruby the Rubidium-Horned unicorn is a member of the magical metal horn tribe from Unimaise. She has power to control time. She wears a talisman around her neck that looks like an hour glass. It contains a tiny bit of rubidium but she does not need it herself. Sometimes she loans it to other unicorns who need a boost of energy to get through a particularly difficult spell.
Ruby had always been fascinated with time. When she was young, she would often spend hours gazing at the stars, wondering what secrets they held about the past and the future. As she grew older and learned to harness her powers, she realized that she could use her gift to explore the mysteries of time itself.
Ruby is a healer by trade, and uses her powers to reverse the effects of disease and injury on her patients. She is highly respected among the Unimaise community, and is known for her kind and gentle demeanor.
One day, Ruby received a request for her services from a far-off village. As she neared the gate, she was greeted by a group of panicked unicorns. “Ruby, we need your help! Our tribe has been cursed and time has frozen in place. We can’t move forward or backwards!” one of them cried out.
Ruby nodded solemnly, knowing that she was the only one who could break the curse. She made her way to the center of the village where massive hourglass stood with the sands frozen in place. The glass glimmered in the soft light of the moon, but Ruby could feel no power emanating from it. Without hesitation, Ruby approached the hourglass and placed into her forelegs around its. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply and her own small talisman began to glow. Ruby’s horn began to emit a bright red aura that surrounded her, pulsating with a fiery energy. With a deep breath, Ruby focused her powers on the hourglass and felt the sands begin to shift. Slowly at first, but then faster and faster, until the hourglass began to glow with a bright light. And then, she unleashed a burst of energy that shattered the frozen time. The sands of the hourglass began to glow and sparkle with a thousand colors. As it came back to life she felt its energy wash over her like a tidal wave. The unicorns let out a cheer of relief. Ruby had saved the day.
