Nelushia The Alchemical Wizard With Neodymium Magic — Story & Classroom Lesson Plan

Discover MarBryn, a magical world built on one unbreakable rule: No Metal, No Magic. This chemistry-themed action-adventure fantasy follows Nelushia, a cherubic, sharp-witted alchemical wizard whose powers flow from real neodymium science — magnetokinesis strong enough to rival the world’s most powerful magnets, a precision laser beam inspired by real Nd:YAG technology, rust-reversing transmutation magic, and an unshakable sense of Earth’s magnetic north. Book 60 in the Magical Elementals Chemistry Fantasy Series, this ten-chapter, standalone adventure blends genuine periodic-table chemistry with vivid fantasy locations, witty and natural dialogue, a found-family cast of companions, and a full-scale battle against a fallen alchemist determined to corrode away civilization itself.

Now available alongside the story is a free-to-adapt, five-day classroom lesson plan designed for middle school science and ELA classrooms (grades 6–8, flexing younger or older). Titled “Magnets, Metals, and Magic,” it pairs each day’s reading with a hands-on activity grounded in real chemistry: exploring the periodic table and rare-earth elements, testing real magnet strength, running a rust-and-catalyst experiment, investigating conductivity and lasers, and building a working compass to understand Earth’s geomagnetic field. Every lesson includes clear objectives, NGSS and CCSS standards alignment, vocabulary with kid-friendly definitions, discussion questions, exit tickets, a final assessment with rubric, a condensed single-period option, and differentiation notes for both striving and advanced learners.

Perfect for teachers looking to make chemistry memorable through storytelling, for parents supporting home education, or for young readers who love magic systems rooted in real science, strong heroines, and adventure with heart. Whether you’re picking up the book for an engaging weekend read or bringing it into the classroom as a cross-curricular science and literacy unit, Nelushia’s world offers a rare combination: genuine STEM learning wrapped inside an unforgettable fantasy adventure.
